Cupcakes and Cashmere

Five Things

November 30th, 2012

{Tartan mugs that are perfect for apple cider/hot chocolate/eggnog}

I can’t believe that tomorrow is already December. It seems like certain times of the year go by faster than others (whereas January and February sometimes feel like they’re moving backward), but I’m embracing the upcoming holiday season with open arms. It will be busy – with plenty of traveling and projects – but I’m excited about some of the plans I’ve already made – like a midweek trip to Disneyland during Christmastime, going to watch The Nutcracker, and Rachel’s annual gingerbread house party. I’m a firm believer that the more time you set aside for the little things, the more you’ll enjoy the best parts of each season. Have a great weekend.

{The coolest stand mixer spotted at Georgetown Cupcakes in L.A.}

{Pinecone ornaments (on sale!) that add a sparkly rustic feel to our tree}

{New leather camera strap from this awesome Etsy shop}

{A reminder* at my parents’ house as to why I never pursued a career in pottery}

*A duck/turtle/platypus hybrid, obviously.

    I have been prepping for holidays at work for the past month…making a window display out of Marshmallows…and it looks fantastic. When you work in design/retail you live months ahead of the rest of the world…I’m already thinking of spring.
