At the time that I purchased these Prada heels, from a Barney's sample sale back in 2010, they were my first serious designer purchase. I was so proud of them, but also probably a little too precious with them. They only made it out of the house a handful of times, and after a few years of keeping them on a shelf in my closet, it got to the point where I considered their once-trendy front platform too dated to wear out. The fortunate thing about trends is that they often circle back—now, six years later, they feel so current with everything Gucci's doing that I was excited to dust them off for a business lunch in West Hollywood. My favorite part of this outfit is also my favorite part of the shoes—the attention to detail—from the knotted leather on the heels, to the bell sleeves on the blouse, with some bold earrings thrown in for good luck.
A twist on a classic.
