I've been searching for a leather skirt for longer than I care to admit, so I was ecstatic when I found an affordable one last week at Zara. It's a classic shape, but feels current with its buttery leather and simple pockets. I've already worn it a couple of times since then; once with a plain black shirt and red lipstick and with this camel-colored sweater, that's equal parts polished and casual. I used to think leather was a bit too rock and roll for me, but it turns out that if the shape is right (like this and this), it can be surprisingly versatile and chic.
