Estée Lauder – Parted Pastel Manicure

I have a major weakness for spring colors, and Estée Lauder’s new pastel collection is pretty close to perfect. When the polishes arrived for the shoot, I couldn’t choose just one, which was the impetus for this simple nail art that combines two colors, side by side. The cotton candy pink and robin’s egg blue are such a fun combination and I love that there are infinite possibilities for this design. Your nails are cute, and I love your blog, but I wondered if you knew that Estee Lauder cannot be considered cruelty free (since it is big in the Chinese market which requires mandatory animal testing). As brand ambassador, I thought you should know…

  Katie, I agree, this has always bothered me when I see Estee Lauder products on here. I don’t even think the company can blame the Chinese laws, I’m pretty sure Estee Lauder does animal testing itself.

    I was pretty upset when I found out. I know MAC does now as well. I can’t in good conscience buy their products anymore since I do not agree with animal testing. I think more people need to be aware.

I love this, but I usually keep my nails a neutral color b/c for some reason they don’t hold colored polish well and chip easily (unless I get a gel manisure of course). Anyway I am going to try this the next time I get a pedicure!
