When I read magazines, I often rip out pages of interest and leave them in a messy heap next to my couch. This was one of the pages I tore out from Lucky’s October issue and a week later, Wren coincidentally sent me the very same Elephant-printed tunic I had been admiring. I love the quirky pattern plus its front pockets and flirty length make it the ideal piece to throw on over tights with boots and run out the door.

That’s the first time I’ve seen cuffy boots styled in a cute way. (I think they easily look too fussy.) I love how you’re wearing them here. (Makes me wish I could pull off leggings. But I was in high school the last time they were popular, so I think I have to pass on them this time around.)

I’ve been meaning to write for a while but just never took the time. I have to say that when you write about companies that send you free clothes, it totally makes you lose credibility. We want to know what your unbiased thoughts and tastes are but these sort of articles are just you spewing out what some company wants you to say. So a brand sends you any old thing, you wear it on your blog, say you like it and that makes more brands send you free stuff. But, how do we know that you really like it or your just trying to get more free stuff?
Your boots make me want to cry from envy.

i thought you were just wearing plaid printed silk shirt until you pointed it out more clearly. i like it, but the dark colors of your shirt made it hard to distinguish what exactly is going on.

@ Lola, I totally understand where you’re coming from and I would normally never leave a comment, but as a personal friend of Emily’s, I know for a fact that she actually turns down a lot more free stuff than she accepts. She gets offers on a very regular basis and only features items she would purchase herself, or are in line with her fashion aesthetic. She never solicits or asks for anything and is completely unbiased about the items she does feature. PR and marketing departments are looking for new ways to reach consumers and there has definitely been a lot more scrutiny on bloggers simply endorsing something because it’s free, but that’s simply not that case here.
