Desperately Seeking Summer
Even though it’s only the first day of June, I’ve already adjusted to a complete summer mindset. After a trip to the flea market yesterday, I put together a list of some of the things I’m currently loving and they all happen to revolve around vintage-inspired pieces. Whether it’s a sweet little blouse with a rounded collar or a light denim jacket to throw on over a dress, they all possess special details that evoke the warm months to come.

I’ve been contemplating that Topshop shirt for a little while now! My must-have is a denim jacket too- still need to find one with the right fit and wash. I also love little jumpsuits!

I adore florals for any season, so obviously they’re my favorite must-have for summer.
Another must-have would be colored denim. I’m also really into geometric patterns like polka dots and stripes, right now.
I adore the peach rose waffle dress. It’s so flirty and summery.

I just ADORE the watches… I need a gold watch – BAD!
My list (don’t you LOVE flea markets? They are the best):
- one more pair of high waist shorts (just got a pair from American Apparel but am after one more pair that looks more 70s inspired). I have a wear did you get that profile post coming this week about them funnily enough!
- 70′s inspired wood wedge heeled sandals (got a pair coming today from Zappos. Fingers crossed they are THE ones. I’ve wanted the perfect pair for a few summers now.
- got the floral dresses (as you know from seeing my blog post). The other one that I’ve not yet posted is a similar colour to the one you posted.
- Low wedges to wear with my high waist retro inspired flared jeans.
- A miracle hair product to let me wear my hair straight so it DOESN”T frizz in humidity!!
LOVE the rose dresses! it is suddenly SUMMER here, and I’m loving it! wishing that I could pull off the highwaisted shorts, but currently lusting after the multi-way bandeau dress from American Apparel
Dresses are always top of my list for summer. It just gets so hot here.

Those brown shorts are so cute and I was surprised at how affordable they are. I am just afraid to order shorts and pants online.
This summer I am loving anything blue and white, simple gold jewelry, and brown flat sandals with thin straps.
I like high waisted pants trend the most!
I LOVE the topshop bleached denim shirt, but I’m not sure what to pair it with…dark denim on bottom would probably be a denim “don’t” and black pants would not be summery…help! Khaki short shorts & wedges?

Mine is more of a “I already have for summer but don’t know what to wear it with” and hope you can help because you put together very cute outfits. So, I bought a white patent clutch yesterday, more because it was a good deal than I will use it. I fear it looks very 80s, which I don’t (want to) pull off. Any suggestions? Would it only be for dressier occasions?

I love those shorts and dresses – just got some new summer shorts this weekend myself. On my list of summer must-haves, it’s all about the vintage jewelry for me this year, which is odd because I’ve never worn much in the way of “bling” before.
Love that rose dress–I’ve been lusting after one ever since I saw Carrie in one in the SATC movie. I think my summer must-have is a really comfy pair of walking shoes and a loose, brightly colored shirt.

I have so much summer stuff already but I think I need a pair of slouchy silk shorts…not too short (dont have the legs for that) but yeah, that’s what I want. Will be my first pair of shorts too!

My summer wardrobe will probably be the same as last year-laid back and not fussy. I usually just live in sundresses, metallic flats, and big chunky sunglasses. I may go out on a limb this season and try for a short jumpsuit-Marc Jacobs has some lovely ones
