Desksessories
After many hours spent watching Carrie Bradshaw at her desk, you would think I would have taken notice of all of the little details that make her workspace so special. The patterned curtains, framed pictures and delicate lamp all add an element of style, while maintaining a sleek and functional area to work. I figure since I spend the majority of my time in front of a computer, the least I can do is create a space that’s inviting and uniquely my own. My desks (both at home and at my office) are hopelessly disorganized and lack any sort of personality, which is why I turned to See Jane Work for some simple steps to make a difference.
My knack for filing is non-existent, but I think these polka dot subject dividers in Pumpkin would surely inspire me to at least make an effort from time to time.
For those of you who share my affinity for losing things, you’ll appreciate the idea of having a plentiful stash of pencils that coordinate in a soothing shade of white.
I have one too many drawers in my desk dedicated to all things ‘miscellaneous,’ so this inbox tray is a pretty reminder to get organized.

I really love all that stuff. I always buy notebooks and pencils, pens -work stuff in general- that then never use because they are too nice for being written with stupid things!

This Swedish woman who came to Australian couldn’t believe how hard it was to buy stylish stationery and study decoration stuff like the ones you posted so she designed her own. That became Australia famous KiKKi-k. I thought you might like that site although you wouldn’t buy anything there.
It’s funny how pretty desk accessories make my time at work so much more enjoyable; I somehow feel more productive and organized. Silly but true!
Those accessories would make very sweet touches to any desk. I would love to re-do my space, too.

I love See Jane Work! I think those file folders are so cute that I would never want to put them away, and it might defeat the purpose of filing. Although my desk would look better than it does piled with plain old manilla folders.

Thanks for your comment. I’m hungry now too, gotta make myself something to eat for lunch, it’s almost 3:30 already. Oh and try the socks, ultra comfy and I think they’re so cute. I wore the socks at first (because of bowling) but then ended up loving it for the ensemble.

I never use my desk, always just have my laptop on my… lap. Maybe that’s because my desk isn’t cute enough! Definitely will have to stock up on some cute desk accessories.

I really enjoy making all the inane objects in my life interesting an unique — so this post is especially awesome.
One of my favorite things to do in this regard is repurposing things. I keep my forms and papers in a set of vintage Garbage Pail Kids folders, and my pens are all in vintage cups!
my office at work is quite ridiculous.. i’ve brought all the things i have at home that don’t match my home.. all my urbn style things (like the bird decos) and all my japanese.. kidrobot type collectibles.

Love the desk accessories! Of course I love accessories of any kind. And just bought the SATC Movie dvd two disc special edition yesterday and am dying to see this special version.
I bought an acrylic tape dispenser from See Jane Work and it seriously makes me smily everytime I look at it – weird considering it’s a TAPE dispenser and all…
So, yes, I agree, a cute desk makes all the difference.
I used to love how she would have little jars of flowers on her desk… And usually some kind of delicious drink or snack! lol (or cigarette, but I don’t smoke)
Pretty file folders keep me sane at work. I especially like William Morris-inspired ones …

You also need a pretty stapler, preferably in a hot fuscia color. I had one at my work desk for a long running 8 months until someone … stole it. My desk has lost some of that special “style.”
