One of my favorite things about traveling is finding souvenirs that serve as reminders of trips. I look for special pieces that can be incorporated into my place's decor and not just tucked into drawers; never to be seen. They can be simple (I like collecting matchbooks from great restaurants) or elaborate (like artwork), but either way, I love the eclectic feel they bring to a space. Mardi Gras was such a wonderfully exuberant experience (thank you, Better Than Ezra!) that it was only natural for me to take home a few little treasures. Here are my favorites:
