Words to Live By

manifesto4

I’m addicted to Pinterest. As someone who loves to collect visual inspiration, but struggles with organization, it fits my needs perfectly. The one thing that doesn’t always resonate with me is the influx of written inspiration. The words never seem applicable to my life, so with that in mind, I decided to create a manifesto. It’s simple and to the point, but filled with the things I hold to be most important. I like that it speaks to where I am currently, but that it’s open to change and interpretation the older I get. But for now, it’s surprisingly rewarding to see a list that reminds me of everything that matters most.

I’d love to know what you would include in your manifesto?

Great idea! I love your collection of reminders. I would include in my manifesto a reminder to have at least one new experience each week: go out to a new restaurant, see a new movie, try a new recipe, go running on a new route, try a new bottle of wine… Sometimes I get too comfortable in my day-to-day routine and forget to change it up.

I really like this and of course just repinned it! My manifesto would be similar to yours it would also include things like, cocktails and wine make everything better, spend time with people that challenge you and help you grow, say I love you more often, find time for fitness, be healthy.

Celebrate the little things! That’s so true, if you can’t enjoy the small pleasures life gives us every day, what would life really be?

Haha, it’s so funny, I feel the same way about most of the text pins I see, but, as I was reading this, I was like, this is worth pinning.

Mine would include, “Celebrate the little things,” “It’s always a good time to make tea,” “Dream bigger,” “Hold everyone accountable including yourself,” and “Forgive everyone including yourself.”

I’m a little addicted to Pinterest myself and couldn’t agree more on your list of things that matter most.

“strive for perfection, settle for good enough” is definitely one to remember.

    Thank you for sharing!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Fresh Flowers; they are such a simple pleasure that make me smile for as long as they make it on my work table!
My manifesto is a quote by Audrey Hepburn:
    I believe in pink
I believe laughing is the best medicine
I believe in kissing, kissing A LOT
I believe in being strong even when everything seems to be going wrong
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls
I believe that tomorrow is another day
    I BELIEVE in MIRACLES!!

    Happy Monday!!

  • Micaela

    I agree with every sentence!
    I also love this thoughts:
“You are always responsible for how you act, no matter how you feel.” — Robert Tew
“Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are” – Kurt Cobain
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”

    I’ll pin this ;)
