Crave or Save

I recently became a believer in the true quality of an expensive pair of shoes, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t still be indulging in the occasional cheap thrill.  L.A.M.B.’s Camden Bootie has been tempting me for months after I first ran my fingers across its playful little pleats.  Though peep-toe booties were all the rage this Fall, I knew that an abundance of ruffles on my feet could potentially grow old, which is why this Bakers option makes a lot more sense.  The flirty peep toe and 4 inch heel are just what I need to liven up a pair of mustard-colored tights.

What’s your take, is this a crave or save situation?

Diamantes, or very small diamonds I believe? the main stone is Amethyst. I love it. I’d love some earrings next. What did you pick?

I say Save – the quality looks a bit poorer, but how much longer will ruffled peep-toe booties be relevant. Take a sharpie to the Bakers’ heel — that’ll up the $$/look quotient.

I say if you have the money to spend, spend it, crave it, love it, smell the italian leather, play with the ruffles, wear them to bed, they are amazing and will last a long time.

If you don’t, save, and buy the cheap pair, and realise they will last you a season, but if that’s all you’ll wear them for anyway, then SAVE it up!

I would crave – maybe – just because they aren’t THAT expensive. I think under $500 is justifiable, it’s not like they are $800 loubs or something.

On the other hand, I just don’t “get” LAMB and not sure if the price is justifiable. I think it’s expensive just cuz it’s a celeb line.

(didn’t notice the peep-toe, so that will make the shoes “dated” in a year or two. Perhaps SAVE :)

save! they’re definitely a trendy type thing, spend 430 dollars on something else. (personally i love the chloe shoe collection =))

I say save. Specially since the style is very trendy and the Bakers’ is pretty much a carbon copy of the LAMB version.

I definitely know that feeling! You just have to think what you can do with that money you’ve saved. You can save for a cruise or a trip to Europe… where you can buy even MORE SHOES!

    I say Save!

As most people have already posted, this is definitely a save situation. While LAMB’s looks a little more sophisticated, I went to Bakers the other day, and tried on this pair-and was quite satisfied with it.

So true…a good quality shoe is worth every penny but sometimes you just want something trendy or pretty and paying too much is craziness.

I’ve actually bought the baker’s and while some of their shoes are really cheap looking this pair is really great. the only thing that i would caution is that if you have wide feet (like me) then the ruffles can flair out on the sides and look slightly weird. but i’ve worn them with skirts and tights and just plain skinny jeans and every time i’ve received compliments.

I think you should save and spray the cheaper shoes darker and tell everyone they are designer. Why buy a $430 pair of shoes when some people around the world are earning less than $1 a day in the sweatshops making these products, so the companies can get filthy rich?!

I would rather play runescape than but that. I cant be bothered to get out of my mothers basement and stop playing runescape, so i doubt i will buy those shoes. i say save, i dont earn any money but.
