Crave or Save

May 13th, 2008

When I was young, I was obsessed with the idea of having a collection of some sort. After careful consideration, I decided on angels, and went about purchasing all kinds of cheap little figurines that I lined up along my desk. Though my collection no longer exists, I found myself extremely drawn to Sydney Evan’s Angel Feather Necklace. Made with clear pave diamonds and yellow gold, it’s absolutely gorgeous, but I have no business spending over two thousand dollars for a piece of jewelry right now. Urban Outfitters’ Angel Wings Necklace, though missing the bling of the original, offers another wing and for $18, you’ll feel simply angelic.

Well, I have no idea if you’re reading a comment re a 2008 post, but just in case…….there’s a jeweler in LA (Beverly Hills bred white boy) who owes an amazing jewelry company – roxburyjewelry.com (sorry, their website only gives you info about who they are, they dont really have a collection on there). They’re wholesale (but have an actual office and a private showroom), and can get anything sydney evans (same exact style) for AT LEAST 50% off the retail (and that wing is more likely to cost close to $200). For that matter, if there’s anything else out there you like from neimun, tiffanys, etc – he has the same stuff, just wholesale :) Oh, and as an fyi to your bf – he has GREAT resources for diamond engagement rings ;)

Just started reading your blog (from earliest post to last) and came across this. I had one of those “no way, me too!” moments when I read about your forced obsession with Angels. Looking forward to the rest of the posts.
