Crave or Save
I’m a big fan of simple clothes paired with bold jewelry. My mom first introduced me to Lanvin’s cluster necklace a few months back and I was enamored with the striking gemstones paired with a casual, grosgrain ribbon. Of course that kind of price is capable of turning your stomach so naturally, I moved on. Forever 21′s bib necklace packs the same dramatic punch, but with a much more manageable price. I swiped one up immediately when I saw it last week and I can’t wait to pair it with some of my plain, crew neck tops.

On a side note, I was browsing through your blog and thought it might be an interesting post to discuss how you organize your closet or maybe plan your outfits for the week or something practical like that. I know it would help me! I never seem to be able to pull outfits together and can’t seem to find things lost in the depths of my closet… Do you have any strategies that could be helpful? Others out there might also appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

Yeah! Great find. I’ve also found a fantastic knockoff for the Southern Hemisphere at a jewellery chain store called Diva for NZ$20. I love it when knockoff serendipity happens.

I’m almost always (sadly) drawn to the more expensive piece, but this is one time where I think the Forever21 version far outshines the designer. The F21 necklace seems like much more of a statement piece, and I actually like the arrangement of the stones better.

The one from Forever is cute, and affordable, so that is the must. The Lanvin one is definitely a must though. My price range is leaning towards the Forever one!! Very pretty and a great crave or save item!

Pity f21 is such a rip off over here in sg, so I usually try to ship it over(exchange rate and shipping horrors) But diva is a good alternative!
Definitely the “Save” this time… $900 is just too much to spend on a very trendy necklace style. I think I like the F21 version better anyway!

Very cute! I wonder if you could make something similar as well? The grosgrain ribbon base is so simple and you could add beads or something to it.
If I didn’t know who was the designer behind each necklace, I would have selected the Forever-21 piece anyway. I think it’s a much better design, and you’ll get a lot of wear out of it. I’ve been looking for chunky necklaces myself. I tend to find that vintage is the way to go if you’re on a budget.

The Forever 21 piece has been the object of my affection (at least one of them) for weeks now. The fact that it’s gorgeous and affordable is completely drool-worthy.
Though Lanvin leaves me weak at the knees, I much prefer the Forever 21 necklace. It’s much prettier and designer looking.
