Coming Up Roses
June 2nd, 2010
Zara Top, H&M Scarf, Michael Kors Watch, Vintage Aviators, Gap Jeans, Yves Saint Laurent Platforms
To say that I’ve been favoring these jeans lately is a major understatement. They’re baggy in all the right places, undeniably comfortable and I love how they can be dressed up with my tallest stilettos. I’ve also been throwing scarves in my bag nearly everywhere I go and this one has a nice, lived-in texture. It’s been too warm to wear blazers, but on chilly afternoons, a lightweight scarf is a great way to avoid unsightly goosebumps.

Nice look!
This scarf is so lovely ^^

You remind me of Sienna Miller. I dont particularly like her, but I love you! Gorgeous, as always. You’r blog is really one of my favorites
j’adore ton look et tes chaussures sont superbes
Hi, I love your look! A bit more casual than normally, and a lovely scarf
Are those the Gap Easy Straight fit denim?? If they are I also have a pair of that fit that I got and I LOVE them too!! They are like a boyfriend fit without the unflattering fullness that is sometimes associate with such a full cut….

Your best look in a long time. Well done, Emily! It screams “you”, but is also comfy chic. I love it! I need that scarf. Once again I bemoan the lack of an H&M in the middle half of the country, and the absence of online shopping.
I have those YSL shoes! Posted them here: http://bellesandrebelles.blogspot.com/2010/05/lali-lali-grand-opening-event.html
How FABULOUS ARE THEY?! And how fabulous are you?! Looking great as usual:)

I love the outfit, so effortless and chic! And your hair looks perfect! http://www.tasteshop.wordpress.com
i’m far from knowing anything about fashion, but you always dress so beautifully and whether you do it on purpose or not, modestly as well. its just great to see cute outfits that don’t require ones boobs to hang out all the time.
So cute! LOVE those aviators!

You look so pretty, especially in the first photo. I too am all about scarves, but I haven’t thought of getting a nice floral one like this! Hmmm something to add to my shopping list..
I love your shoes so cute. Also the roses of course make everthing so bright.
Love this look on you very much!!!
Jeans look really comfy, what style are they?

Thanks
That scarf is a brilliant pop of perfection!

Mae Lu, thereafterish.
damn buying shoes doesnt make you fashionable so many blogs now suck because you girls think a camera makes yu cute, cool or whatever. wtf. some bloggers who spoil it for the rest of us: emily (that’s you) karen (whereugetthat?) and karla. fat, ugly and non fashionable girls. boo!
@aileen What exactly are these other bloggers spoiling for you or anyone else? You seem to have some wisdom the rest of us are lacking, yet you don’t link to your site to show us how a fashionable blogger should look. At least have the courage to stand behind your statement. Please go away little troll, your ignorance, jealousy and poor grammar automatically discount your ridiculous comment. Have a great weekend.
Ooh I really love this look on you! Gorgeous scarf, and I’m recently loving this style of jeans too (after finally forcing myself out of my skinny jean rut with the help of Net-a-Porter) and am wearing the Current/Elliot distressed boyfriends (which I highly recommend) with serious heels (to avoid looking stumpy). And those shoes – you’re a woman after my own heart!

i saw this outfit a few days ago and thought it was really casual for you, but obviously really cute and i especially loved the scarf because i just always love scarfs. then i went to h&m, came home with that exact scarf yesterday, and then realized wait a minute. its the same one.

I know I’m not your demographic, since I’m a curvy 30something, but I am a leader in the “curvy” community and I draw inspiration from fabulous ladies like you…i love your style and will be doing an inspiration post about this outfit – but translate into “plus size” for ladies who are trying to embrace their bodies, even after a size 12. Much love to you and hope you enjoy my blog as well…. http://www.curvyconfident30something.com.

I simply adored the scarf and the aviator! I am such a fan of them both!!!!
This might be a dumb question but how do you roll up the jeans? Mine always look either too crisp or too lumpy…
