Colorless
Occasionally I find the abundance of white clothing in my closet discouraging since it’s about as neutral [read: boring] as you can get. Luckily, those thoughts are far and few between seeing as how it’s the quintessential color for summer. As demonstrated perfectly by some of these leading ladies, white tops can add an alluring and crisp vibe to any outfit, especially with the help of appropriately placed buttons, bows and ruched edges. Here are just a few of my current obsessions (ranging from Forever 21 to Miu Miu) that would blend seamlessly with the rest of my growing collection.

What a gorgeous items! White is always a nice colour for summer. The combination of a white top with a pair of jeans is timeless. I love the second top from marc jabocs mostely, though I unfortunatly cannot afford…

I so agree. It’s definitely so airy and perfect for summer. I also tend to shy away from white tops for the same reason you mentioned above, but with the right details it can be made less “boring” which is why I always go for more unique tops.
I love the neckline on no 4 and no 6 is such a versatile piece.

I usually stay away from white because I’m so fair that I’m afraid I will get washed away, but a friendly and persuasive salesperson I met recently begged me to try on a white sundress, and I have to admit–it was adorable. I’m re-examining my position on white.

I like the white ruffly top from Old Navy… cute and very un-ON-ish – is that a word? I just love white t-shirts… they are emotionally comfy for me. They just feel good…
White is actually my favorite color to wear in the summer. It looks crisp, classic, and makes you look instantly more tan.
It can be feminine, casual, dressy – I could go on and on. I’m usually an all-black clothing type girl (I love color but black is my all-time fave), but in the summer, white becomes my new black.

My hubby always teases me when I go shopping bc inevitably I’ll come home with *another* white top. These are great!

White tops make for great layering pieces. The Elizabeth and James one is especially fab.

i love white tops! the more peasant-y the better! in college i got drunk in a bar and asked everyone if they thought they could wear jeans and a white shirt every day for the rest of their lives if they could have awesome new shoes everyday. i think i could.
I don’t think white is boring at all… I think it’s crisp and classic and goes with anything! These tops are all adorable… I could see wearing any of them this summer.

You are so spot on. I have been seeing white/beige/tan everywhere. In fact Banana Repulic’s entire display is all monochromatic right now. I love those dolman tops and am dying to get my hands on one. Great picks.

I, too, have a ton of white. I like layering it with off-white and beige sometimes. Try it. Actually, what am I saying, I’m SURE you have, miss fashion:) I’m really liking tops # 3 and 7. They’re affordable and look flow-y enough to quite possibly fit over my growing belly!
love them all! it’s so funny, i hardly own any white clothing. my closet is full of black. actually now that i think of it i wore all black the last two days! i guess that is the difference between girls from cali and girls from NYC. haha!

The perfect pieces for summer
The Delias one is sooo pretty! And I love the Miu Miu, simple but oh so fantastic.
love No. 1 and imagine my delight to see its from Forever 21 and just 16 bucks! yay! I actually have very little white in my closet because I am pretty pale and I feel like it just doesn’t “pop” on my skin, or worse, washes me out. but maybe I’ll try to get some more white in my wardrobe this summer. thanks for sharing!

I can never get enough of white. Sadly, I immediately gravitated towards that Miu Miu top, which is a bit spendy for me.
I love white. I have so many white basic tees. But I don’t have anything “fun.” I think the next time I look for a white top it’ll be loose and hanging off my body like 5 and 6. perfect for the heat!

I love all of the tops, couldn’t decide which one is my favourite. I generally love white and cream colours so I’m glad to see they’re always trendy. White top looks good with everything and makes the look more elegant, love it.
