Clueless
After I read this on Perez Hilton yesterday, I dusted off my Clueless DVD to revisit some of the trends that made the movie so special. I’m still undecided on whether a remake would be a good idea, but it was fun to see how one of my favorite parts of the movie has become a reality.
Remember Cher’s virtual closet that picked out her daily outfits? Closet is a new app available for the iPhone and iPod Touch that helps categorize your clothing so that getting dressed in the morning is a snap. Whether you use it to separate your wardrobe into sections (I’m thinking bubble skirts, tulip skirts, pencil skirts…you get the idea) or tag pieces as favorites, it’s a great way to save time and keep tabs on what’s in your closet. Now if only I could get my hands on a yellow plaid skirt suit, I’d be set.

I’m really undecided about this. I love the film, but I dunno how good it’ll be when she’s 15 years older ….hmmmmm.
Whaaaa? A Clueless remake? Of course I’ll have to see it, but I’m not sure how good this is going to turn out.
Anyways, that app is supercool!
of course I would probably watch it again, but remakes are never quite as good. I always wished for Cher’s closet when I was a teen:)

I loved Clueless – what a blast from the past!
Brilliant. Utterly brilliant. And just makes me lust for an iPhone all the harder.
I remember repeating lines from Clueless over and over. And I’ll always be appreciative because that movie introduced me to delicious Paul Rudd. I think if it was written well, and all of the original stars were back, it might be a good thing. I’m always interested in seeing what happens after the story ends anyway.
Yes! This is amazing. I love Cher’s closet and this modern manifestation. (I wore a yellow plaid skirt yesterday and pretended I was Cher for a little bit, but sadly, I no longer had a fluffy pink pen to brandish coquettishly.)

That is fantastic! I don’t think it could be as good, but….. And that app is great, I would love to know if it works well or not.
Clueless is such a blast from the past for me – when I watched Mean Girls I had flashbacks of Clueless too come to think of it.

I think it’s hilarious that you have clueless on DVD…. I have to go dig out the VHS! I’m going to have to go along with the general consensus here and say that I need that application as well!
i have seen clueless 3482489327 times. AND that iphone app is totally brilliant.
Genius concept.. can they make it for non iphone users?! Hmm… but really, that is one of my FAILS in the a.m. — finding an outfit when I’m running around in the morning. Gotta love technology.

I remember my best friend and I used to be obsessed with these looks. Ahh, the knee-high socks. If I had an iPhone this would probably be the first app I’d get. I tend to forget what I have in my closet…
I do believe Perez sent thousands and thousands of 20-something girls into a tizzy with that post. If the movie actually happens, I think I might die.
That is so funny that they have a closet app! I’m torn about a remake too. I mean, could anything ever make the brilliance of the original?

I’m not too sure about a Clueless sequel, but I absolutely loved the first! And her closet in the movie was amazing– I would need that app if I had that many clothes! alas, my closet isn’t that big… and I don’t have an iPhone

Remakes are the new film movement of 2000’s. I want to remake “Alice in Wonderland” – and yes the clothes would look fab in it, I ought to invite you as a Costume Advisor.

I have had this conversation come up so often with the Sisterly Figure – Cher’s outfit organiser was something every girl would dream of having. There are quite a few different outfit organiser programs/apps out there, but none to truly live up the to killer standard Cher’s set. I STILL YEARN FOR ONE JUST LIKE IT.
And let my remind you, it does not say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty.
Oooh, that is uber cool in a cliched 80s way. I’d go there, hell yeah.
Lol, if I had an iphone. I guess I’ll just have to rely on instinct and rummaging through the closet for now

That app would be incredible but a bit useless for me. There are only so many combinations for black tees and jeans.

nonononononono no WAY should they EVER make a remake. That is an awful idea; like trying to remake Gone With the Wind or Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Epic failure if ever attempted.
Now that virtual closet idea is amazing. Too bad I have neither the Ipod touch or phone =( But that was always my favorite part of the movie when she gets ready in the morning
