Cinnamon Rolls

November 15th, 2011

Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorite indulgences, and this past weekend presented the ideal time to whip up a batch. Saturday morning was dark and damp, and the smell of these in the oven made it nearly impossible to wait the entire fifteen minutes for them to bake. I followed this recipe and while the results were even better than I had hoped for, these are far too dangerous to make with any sort of regularity.

  3. I have never made cinnamon rolls from scratch. I think I will bake a batch during the holidays, it will be more special since you can’t find them in Switzerland – sometimes at the American Bakery, but they are awful *shudder*
    Yours look delicious!

  4. A tip- instead of using a knife to cut the roll, get a long piece of thread and put it under the roll and bring it up and across (almost as if about to tie a knot) and then pull. It doesn’t flatten the roll like cutting does!!

  5. These look so good! I want to try them with orange icing and cranberries and pecans wrapped inside.

  6. Delish! I love baking and love cinnamon rolls. So this recipe is definitely on my list!

  15. These cinnamon rolls look so enticing! I’m actually trying to watch it after all the cinnamon rolls I ate on Thanksgiving morning… I need to be able to get into my favorite little vintage dresses again. I might just break down and try this recipe though. Evil temptress!

I like this combination of snow bunny – meets hipster – meets lumberjack boots with heels! It’s colorful and eclectic and totally works! I also love that the boots are VINTAGE, my fave!

  16. well, i had never heard of cinnamon rolls before, never seen it in my city or in any other city here in Brazil.
it was something really new for me, but i decided to make it cause i’m really into cinnamon. i must say i got a little upset, cause i thought it would be more like a bread and less like a scone. i thought the dough would be lighter, but it’s actually a little heavy. despite of this, i enjoyed it in some way and even created a new version (chocolate rolls) with the extra dough i got by cutting the edges. your far best recipe are pains au chocolat.
