Chocolately Chocolate Chip Cookies
As far as baked goods are concerned, it doesn’t get much better than homemade chocolate chip cookies. At least that’s what I thought until I made these. The cookie itself has a great, cake-like texture, but its rich, chocolately flavor is more reminiscent of a brownie. I used this recipe and I also added a teaspoon of instant coffee (it boosts the chocolate flavor and doesn’t actually make them taste like coffee) and made sure to take them out of the oven just before they hardened. These are, without a doubt, my new favorite dessert. Just keep the cookies relatively small since they’re quite intense, in the best way, of course.

Delectable! I’m a chocoholic so those are my dream cookies. I came across a recipe for chocolate chip brownie cookies at Brown Eye Baker a few weeks ago and nearly died. Your cookies look just as good as those do! I’m going to cave and crank up my oven in my already-hot kitchen to make those cookies. YUM!

OMG – the cookies look amazing. The dense chocolately chocolate of these cookies reminds us so much of the dessert we recently had at Uva in NYC – their chocolate “salami” – we think you would love it! Same chocolatey deliciousness, broken up by pieces of white chocolate crumble – to make your own mouth water like ours did from these pics, check out Harriet Magpie’s Uva pictures now!
http://www.harrietmagpie.com
I love the first picture. That straw adds just the right amount of color to the photo! I love cookies and will try this recipe. I am alwasy looking for something a bit more intense, and adding coffee is brilliant.
xo M
a stack of cookies as tall as a glass of milk–now that is just perfect. i’m sorry the straw isn’t a bendy one, though, those are the best!
Homer Drool…I have to try these.
Yay
I have all the ingredients in my cupboard! But I just made sticky toffee pudding a la Nigella and a pork roast this week so I maybe should lay off the electricity a bit for a while

If there is one thing I love, it’s a cookie. If there’s another thing I love, it’s 2 cookies. One for each hand.
I wish I were one of those people who preferred veggies over sweets, but I was not blessed with such will-power. =)
Your photos of food are always so delicious. It’s 1am here and that’s so not helping. I wish I had chocolate chip cookies and milk at my bedside!

Those look really, really good. The advice about the instant coffee is a great idea, thanks! And, kudos to those photographing talents – I think it’s so hard to take a picture of a filled glass. It just looks gross most of the time – It doesn’t here, it looks like tasty, fresh milk. With cookies. Yum.
Oh yummy!!! I wish I had some of those right about now

I just discovered cupcakesandcashmere yesterday. It. Is. Too great for words!! Emily (can I call you by your first name?) you have inspired me to try harder to look nicer. I see you always so put together in your pictures and your hair is brushed and you look stunning. Before yesterday, I was a fifteen year old soccer player who never brushed her hair and her best get ups where shorts and a muscle shirt, but now I am trying to be more grown up and sophisticated. My style is and will continue to be different from yours but I want to thank you for the motivation to do something about my appearance. I love your recipes!
Greetings from Mexico!

Like you, I have an enormous sweet tooth. It was either these for a girls’ night in last night, or flourless chocolate cupcakes… I opted for the cupcakes, since they take only four ingredients (they’re amazing). But I must whip up these cookies some time!
These cookies! Oh my goodness they look scrumptious! I am definitely trying these out!
you are making me crave the chocolate cake in the kitchen… the one I am supposed to be ignoring.
Yummmmm, I have been craving chocolate so much I did a blog post on chocolate last week!

I had my husband make it last weekend and OMG!!!! Those things are so good. I don’t really like hard and crunchy cookies and these cookies were perfect. I love that they are sort of cake-like. I will definitely have him bake them using white chocolate chips next time.
This has been my go-to chocolate-chocolate chip cookie recipe for over a year now! I love adding extraaaa vanilla extract! These things stay soft for days
This is really yummy dish. Thanks for your blog. This is good.

My 8-old-year told me these were WAY better than the chocolate mint cookies I’ve been baking for years!
I am so gonna make these for my yearbook bake sale!
Oh my word. I made these for the first time on Christmas Eve eve and they were all gone within a day. Like I had my braces tightened earlier that day and I ate about 12 of them despite the pain in my teeth, haha. I think I may add more walnuts to them though because 50g just isn’t enough! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, the cookies turned out amazing!
