Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels

May 25th, 2011

I think homemade desserts almost always trump those bought at a store (unless, of course, baking is seriously not your calling). Sometimes it’s just hard to find the time to make something special that looks as good as it tastes. Chocolate-dipped pretzels have always been one of my favorite treats and because this week has turned out to be unexpectedly hectic, I decided to make something that didn’t even require an oven. I simply melted chocolate (white and milk), dipped in some pretzel rods and decorated them with some Memorial Day-inspired sprinkles.

*Bonus: when stacked in a tall glass or a hurricane vase, it makes for a pretty (and edible!) centerpiece.

Yum! These looks so effective :) I love the taste of the salty pretzels and sweet chocolate (at least in the pretzel m&m’s anyway). I’m going to try making these this weekend for my niece’s 1st birthday. Thanks for the idea!

My question is do you freeze them prior to serving? I am making them now, but now am stuck as to what to do?

Any thought on where we could buy the larger pretzel sticks?
