For the first time in what must have been months, I truly relaxed this past weekend. I didn’t turn on my computer, I avoided my office, and all of my pending bills/emails/phone calls remained unanswered. And it felt really great. I slept in (something I never do), ate bagels while reading the newspaper and spent time in our back yard (and took advantage of our neighbors’ lemon tree). It’s funny how big of a difference two days can make when you truly disengage from your work. I think I’m going to try it out more often.
