Challah

March 30th, 2011

Challah has always been my favorite bread. It’s gorgeous, with its shiny braids and soft middle, and it brings back such great memories from my childhood. My mom was the baker growing up, so it seemed like one of those things that only she could make. But this past weekend, I followed this recipe and was really impressed with the results. The loaf is huge, so hopefully it will last us the rest of the week, or at least until we have time to use it for French Toast.

I love challah bread! Back in high school, we’d go to the bagel shop and instead of bagels, we’d get the challah bread. I could easily eat a whole loaf by myself! Thanks for sharing the recipe! Delicious.
