The moment I spotted these Yves Saint Laurent sandals at the Barneys warehouse sale, I decided they were going home with me, long before I even tried them on. To my astonishment, they were incredibly comfortable, which I discovered while running through the streets of New York (in the rain, no less). For the time being, they’ve been overshadowed by this intricately cool Leviticus harness that I’ve paired with just about every item in my closet.

Yes, walking in the NYC rain sucks…. but forget the foot pain, I often end up never wearing my best shoes since I don’t want them to get ruined by any rain that may or may not start falling.

That necklace is perfection. I love that the shoes are not basic black – the deep burgundy will probably go with everything too! Platforms are forgiving….but that’s what, 6 inches? You ran in NYC in the rain on that?? That’s fashion courage.

Those shoes would never be homeless for long. And to think I thought they were black at first! And I’d never think to wear a harness. Until now!
