Breakfast Pizza

Last week I shared a picture of a breakfast pizza (here) that I ordered at a little cafe by the beach. It was unconventionally wonderful, with the allure of a classic dish made appropriate for the morning. I hadn’t stopped thinking about it and realized how easy it would be to serve at one of the many brunches we host. I found this recipe and made it even simpler with store-bought dough and pre-grated cheeses. I love a good twist on a classic and this one pretty much tops my list.

Yum! I make a mean breakfast pizza from the Williams Sonoma Breakfast and Brunch cookbook. It has chorizo, black beans, and cilantro on it with whipped egg. Try it out.

it sound yummy! and strange enough. when my dad was in Germany, he accidentally ordered a pizza with two fried eggs on top! He said it was good!

We ordered pizza one night in France. It was brought out with an almost raw egg in the center. I think I would have enjoyed the beaten eggs as you suggested with thin and drained bacon..
