J.Crew Necklace, Gifted Juicy Couture Blouse, Club Monaco Skirt, YSL Heels, Zara Bag, Vintage Scarf + Brooch, Michael Kors Watch

This skirt fulfills pretty much all of my needs: a classic silhouette, in a neutral color, with leather pockets. I’ve owned tons of black pencil skirts over the years, but I love that the edgy details keep it from feeling stuffy. This bag was a sort of impulse buy in New York after my previous carry-on (a straw tote from high school) literally unraveled as I boarded the plane. Thankfully this one manages to look chic, even when stuffed with every technology device I own, plus a slew of tangled necklaces and sunglasses.

    I love this outfit, love that the black skirt isn’t plain, it’s so edgy, yet cute! The shirt almost looks vintage, and the necklace, too die for! Love it all! btw: bag unraveling is not as bad as rushing to the airport and your whole luggage opening bc you stuffed it w/too much shopping clothes and the zipper breaks… all things pop out, yes even underwear & stuffed bear you must take to sleep with. ha! top that!     I have the bag in tan, it’s great but don’t overload it as the handles will come apart. I’m on my second one but luckily lovely Zara replaced the first for me with a gentle warning not to actually put the kitchen sink in it…
