The lifestyle in New York is so different than L.A. Though it’s known for its fast-paced environment, I also find that I savor things in a way that simply doesn’t happen back home. This past weekend when my fiancé was in town, we went for long walks in the cold, read in bed, and went out for insanely good Italian meals that lasted several hours. It’s a nice reminder to recognize the good things about being away from home so that you can incorporate them back into your routine long after you’ve left.
