I love when a dress combines colors and patterns that I wouldn’t normally think to wear together. I was pretty sold on this dress the minute I saw it, but was even more convinced once I found out it was on sale (here). I’ve already worn it several times, but I like the slightly mod twist it takes on with a fedora, round glasses, a bold lip, and black tights with booties.

    Like the concept. Just not sure this execution works. The fedora (and dress) are both clearly too small. Go a size up girl. Also think a black fedora would have been more flattering. This one isn’t a complimentary shade of blue. And the sequined bag just throws the whole thing off for me. There’s a loot going on here. Sometimes less is best.

    I usually like your taste, Emily, but you seem to be choosing clothes that are clearly too small. Dresses appear too tight and short; pants and jeans so tight that they look uncomfortable. There is no shame in going up one size; it would be much more flattering. Love your site!

    I hate to say this but aside from that other outfit you recently posted with the striped and sequined skirt worn with the the plaid top, this is one of my least favorite outfits to date. The dress looks too short and too tight, and the bold lip+lace mini dress+rounded sunnies+fedora+sequined clutch is just too much. I love when your feminine style veers more towards elegant and this is just overwhelming. You look beautiful though as always
