Before and After: Luna’s Room
April 21st, 2010
When I first moved into our apartment, my boyfriend and I each had our own bathroom. Now I share mine with Luna. Pretty perfume bottles have been replaced with leftover cat food crumbs and the smell of jasmine candles is overpowered by kitty litter. To say that I had given up on the idea of having a cute bathroom is a major understatement.

{After}
I finally decided that a few small changes would make a big impact. My first preference for the room was wallpaper, but since that’s a rather permanent fix for a temporary residence, I went with some patterned wall decals from blik.
{I let Luna decide where the decals should be placed}
{Applying the decals to the wall}
{On the opposite wall – green glass knobs from Anthropologie}
{An organized way to display all of my necklaces}

Great idea. I need to do something like this because my tangled web is getting out of control.
really chic and glam!
omg, great idea, love the new necklace holder!
Awwwwwwww Luna. Sooo cute and so helpful.
ooooh i love this idea. i have been searching for a way to organize my jewelry- thanks!
does Luna not mess with your necklaces? hard to believe
<333
The anthropologie knobs were a stroke of genius!
I loveeee the knobs as necklace hangers idea! I’m going to have to implement this into my new apartment, come August!
Can’t believe you’re allowed to do all that with a rental. In Australia we can’t even put a hook on the wall, let alone paint, wall paper etc.
WOW!
“knobbing” the necklaces. brilliant and beautiful!
What a beautiful bathroom! I like the idea of separate bathrooms…. one girly and one masculine!
Do you still keep Luna’s litter box in your bathroom? Do you have chic way on containing it? I keep my cats litter pan in the bathroom but her litter gets every where?!
This is such a good idea for necklaces!
very cute love everything about this!!
Wow, I really like the idea of hanging necklaces on door knobs, and I bet it would be pretty easy to just find a random assortment of knobs at a thrift store. Very inspiring.
this is were i keep all my necklaces..

I really want to know were did you get those green knobs there beautiful?
what a great way to display necklaces- i love it!!!
did you drill wholes in the walls before screwing in the knobs? and did you have a problem with studs? they didn’t hurt the sheet rock?
i have a big family, they all have there own bathrooms, so thanks for this big tip. i will definitely to design there bathrooms like that and put up knobs for all the girls jewelry and boys gels, and boy stuff! thanks so much
