Beat the Heat
{Old-school movies + gummy candies}
My motto for hot days is “simple is best.” No extravagant pool party or crowded movie theater is quite as sweet as being in the comfort of my own home with nowhere to be. The heat wave is supposed to continue throughout the weekend and here are some of the reasons why I’m looking forward to having few obligations.
{Lounging around in my pajamas for the majority of the day}

{Organizing my shoe closet, with the AC on, of course}

If I had a shoe closet and pajamas that were that cute, I’d be psyched to stay indoors all weekend, too! I love that you’re a homebody though. I am, too, although I never used to be. In our next home, I WILL have a huge walk-in closet and a finished basement for all of Devon’s toys. Our house is three times the size of our NYC apartment, and yet I spend my life in this one room. It’s amazing I haven’t gone stir-crazy!

The one thing I love to do is clean during a heat wave I dont why its just the organizing seems to help put me at ease. I also love going to a theater being there in the AC pumped up to the MAX and eatting popcorn and soda nothing better!

Ha, I’m the same way. I’ve spent plenty of time organizing my closet while in my PJs, soaking up the AC. I must be getting wimpier because it hasn’t hit triple digits here yet, and it always eventually does, yet I can’t recall summer being THIS miserable.
