Don’t look like this in your bikini?

Not a problem.

Designers have finally picked up on the fact that most women are less than confident about their bodies…especially when it comes to revealing swimwear.  There’s a whole new breed of cover-ups available and best of all, they don’t look like the frumpy muumuus that used to be our only option.  Here are some of my breezy favorites.

Shoshanna Monet Floral Cover-Up, $198.  Perfect for hanging out poolside when you’re eating lunch (since I know squashing my thighs up against a rubber chair isn’t my best look).

Vix Swimwear Sky Pom Pom Cover-Up, $105.  The little pom poms add a flirty feel and some gold hoops and a straw tote would make this a perfect beach barbecue outfit.

Ella Moss Gidget Tunic Dress, $99.  I like how the deep v-neck on this tunic lends a seductive touch with long sleeves to balance it out.

  1. Do you know of any cute coverups for the WHOLE body lol? Actually, I am most ashamed of my lower half, my HUGE thighs and deformed ankles actually, so it seems I can only wear pants at the beach. Do they even make cute, comfy beach pants?

  2. God, I love Shoshanna! All her stuff is so cute!

  3. the first one is adorable!

  4. did i seriously just eat that muffin for breakfast and then get on your site! i would kill to look like that bathing beauty! love the cover ups!! and great blog too!!

  5. Oh yeah, I love it! I always felt somehow guilty when I covered myself with big scarves on the beach. Now I can choose one of these pretty tunics and feel more confident. They’re all adorable!
