August & Everything After
Despite the oppressive heat in the desert (a brisk 110°), my boyfriend and I spent the past weekend floating in the pool and enjoying ice cream after every meal. Once we returned, the weather in L.A. was beyond refreshing and provided the perfect backdrop to watch Barefoot Contessa re-runs (I’m a little obsessed) while I made new necklaces for my soon-to-be-updated Etsy shop.

Your pictures are very refreshing, too! I don’t know what I like the most: the beautiful black agates or the avocado salad?

Sounds like a beautiful weekend – that lunch spot looks inviting. Nice necklaces too
Great photos! Obsessed with The Barefoot Contessa, too.

ah, i’ve been dying to stay there, as my obsession with jonathan adler is a little ridiculous. i hope it was as amazing as i picture it in my head!
I’m obsessed with Ina. I watch the reruns every night right before bed. I’m pretty sure I recite her recipe for Jeffrey’s homemade strawberry jam in my sleep.
looks and sounds wonderful…
I love these photos! Your necklaces are so great.
Sounds like a perfectly wonderful weekend! Your necklaces look great!
The salad looks delicious.
So do your necklaces. I love that colour of agate. And such a pretty mirror xxxx
Perfection… if the weather would have been halfway decent near us I would have loved to be lounging by the pool. But, that’s okay, the Hubs, little pup & I made our own “indoor” float from our blowup mattress & spent all day Sunday laxily watching movies… : – )
Your photos are lovely.
It looks like you had so much fun! And I can see you skipped the hair dryer in the desert heat…I like the beachy waves, munchkin:) I can’t wait to see your new necklaces up in the shop. This woman who does druzy agates came into my old office and was selling them for about three times the price of yours. Silly girl! xx
That mirror’s amazing, and I love the pieces you made for your shop!
you’re so good at editing and selecting the few images that seem to capture an entire weekend. beautiful from start to finish.
Dang. If I’d had to endure 110 degrees, I wouldn’t look nearly so serene and lovely!
I just discovered that I actually DO like avocado! I’m extremely excited about this recipe! Thank you. P.S. Ina is SO addicting!!! {Her and The Everyday Italian Giada, put me in a trance!}
