Asparagus Gruyere Tart

asparagus11.jpg

I’m ashamed to admit that I can go weeks without incorporating a single vegetable into my diet.  It’s not that I don’t appreciate a handful of sugar snap peas in the summer or roasted eggplant in the winter, but it’s rarely something I crave or think to make on my own.  Martha Stewart’s Asparagus Gruyere Tart has changed my mind entirely with its flaky crust, gooey cheese and perfectly crisp asparagus.   It’s not exactly health food, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.

Hi Emily.

Love love love your blog!!! I really like how you post recipes + outfits + weekend getaways – a really good range of posts. So cool that you have been able to make it your full time job! I wondered why you hadn’t spoken about work in a long time. Perhaps you could do a post on some of your daily routines – I always find that stuff really interesting and so do other people – one of my favourite newspapers has an article every week about a day in the life of…starting from what time they get up/what they eat for breakfast right through their day. Its the little intricasies that really shape people I think. Anyway just a thought. Kendall xxx

Love when you mix in the cooking, and your photography is perfection. Asparagus and gruyere are two of my favorite things.

Even though my blog is a baby compared to yours, I love to mix things up, too! A true dedication to the quarter-life. Although you’re probably more heavy on the fashion and mine on the food. And can’t forget that we both have cupcakes in the name, of course :)
