Ahead of the Game
I need no reminder of the oppressive heat that’s currently taken hold of Southern California. My eyes are bloodshot from the constant air conditioning, my hair is a hot mess and my uniform of dresses and sandals is growing old. I know fall weather is still months away, but I can’t help but look to the future and what I hope to wear once it finally cools down. Here are just a few pieces that have won my affection.

I love 2,5,10. I’m into blazers, floral skirts/dresses with tights and boots, and cardigans for fall. And I feel you, Socal is HOT, though it’s probably cooler here than where you are since we’re right by the beach.
I can’t wait to wear my riding boots again!!! I just blogged about how excited I am for winter…even thought Hawaii doesn’t really have winter.

Boots with dresses, boot with jeans … just looking at my boots gets me in the mood for fall. Coats do too. A great coat and boots can make the total outfit
Am so happy that the item that stood out most to me (the necklace) is from a store that’s also in London! The shorts @ #8 are also very cute…
it makes me so sad that we’re out of synch for seasons, as I can never follow your style here. I’m at a loss as to what to wear for the coming spring (I’m in Australia) and I’m never sure if the styles being worn over there in summer are a season ahead or behind us and what I should be stocking up on!
wow those leggings are intense. i wish it would warm up in Connecticut, it still doesn’t feel like summer. i guess it just means i can still wear stuff like this in the cool nights!

yes to fall fashion! i’m a cold weather girl, so i can’t wait to wear jeans, riding boots, and my Zara blazer. i’m planning to wear plenty of tights, and those black and gold tights are fabulous!

I am contemplating the purchase of a shoe similar to the Kurt-Lace Up Brogue. And a Multi Row Necklace goes without saying; the quintessential piece to dress up a plain white (or black) tee!

those leggings are perhaps the coolest thing i’ve spotted in a very long time…wowza! i am really excited for some new high boots, zipper leggings & gigantic metallic mixed up necklaces! studded leather anything too!

I can’t even think about Fall yet! I actually threw away the latest J. Crew catalog because I am still too deeply immersed in summer. Although the hot weather these last few days might just break me.
Almost bought a pair of brogues this afternoon. After seeing this photo, I will definitely go back for them tomorrow.

those tights are pretty rad… i was just in South America where they were in the throes of winter! we got to wear lovely scarves and my new peacoat!
sadly, now it’s back to the Arizona heat… i’m on the lookout for some short dresses with long sleeves than can transition from summer to fall. Anthro has a really cute little teal number i’ve got my eye on.
I’ve picked up that bowling bag and carried it around the past couple of times I’ve been at F21, but I just haven’t bought it. This might be the push I need!
i love the multi layer necklace! sadly, i’ve already spent my “back to school” budget on a leather messenger bag, trench coat, and blue cashmere blend v-neck sweater!

I felt the Topshop leather jacket yesterday at the Oxford Circus branch. Really disappointing. It’s really rough and stiff. Not supple and smooth like it looks! Definitely not worth the cash!! x
