A Well Tempered Clavicle

November 10th, 2008

urban-outfitters.jpg

Every time I step into an Urban Outfitters, I feel as though I’ve stumbled upon an industrial warehouse that just happens to be filled with vintage, one of a kind clothing.    Whether made of ruffled plaid or petal pink chiffon, these pieces all draw attention to a woman’s clavicle in the most seductively sensual way.

(clockwise from left)

Fringe Tank, $38.  Part flapper, part boho-chic.  Perfect with dark denim and a metallic clutch for drinks.
Intarsia Cardigan
, $68.  The plunging neckline and textured knit makes this a great option for throwing on over just about anything.
Sleeveless Printed Tunic, $58.  I love this delicately sweet tunic that would seriously benefit from some distressed motorcycle boots.
Frenchie Dress
, $196.  I’m a sucker for anything with a sweetheart neckline.  This one is all the more special in an electric blue color with pleated trim.
Plaid Ruffle Neck Blouse, $48.  The smocked sleeves and scoopneck keep this traditionally male pattern from looking too plain.
Embroidered Embellished Cami, $58.  The beaded cutouts on this black tank make a subtle statement by just showing a tiny bit of skin.

I agree — their clothes are often sexy, but in a subtle way. I love the little pink, ruffly number.

I like this plaid shirt. I made a decision yesterday- since I cannot find a flannel plaid I like, I’m going to buy a little boys flannel. I’ll post when I get it :) lol

UO is consistently awesome and quite reasonably priced, too. Great selections!

And I don’t know what it is about collarbones, but I agree that they’re just about the hottest part of a women’s body…I think many women agree. And I think that it shows a much more subtle appreciation for our figures than what guys have, what with their obsession with…um…what’s just below our clavicles :)

Oh, just saw your selections….and they are terrifc. I want to get the fringe tank for my daughter for the holidays….oh, yes!!
    Great offerings,
