It’s no surprise that I typically opt for dresses or skirts, but the onset of current menswear-inspired ensembles has left me wonderfully intrigued. Whether it’s accomplished through a sleek blazer, some tailored pants or a wide belt, these three ladies have nailed the look while still looking decidedly feminine. Here are some of pieces that I’m thinking of incorporating into my wardrobe:

This tree women have the ideal figure. Man’s trousers are so chic worn this way! But they seem impossible to wear without high heels, that’s the problem to me!

Why does men’s clothing have to be so darn wonderful all the time? And blazers, especially, are the ultimate item of clothing … cute and comfortable. At least now we get to join in the fun a little bit, and these three actresses are a perfect example of how unfussy yet stylish menswear can be. Great pics, Emily!
Love how Rachel looks so girly, yet strong. The Anthropologie pants kick ass, but would just look like a costume on me. I don’t have the stick frame to pull them off properly. Too bad!
I hardly ever wear pants b/c i think skirts/dresses are more fun and flirty. That being said, i tried on those Anthro trousers a couple weeks ago, and they are perfection as far as pants go. I’m also desperate for a boyfriend blazer, but i’ve yet to find one that works for my body. I can see you in ALL these looks! Good luck!

Oh I just love this look…they all look fab, and it’s so sexy and feminine… I’m a bit short so I have to be careful how I do this look, but when I find the right one I shall wear it often!

I agree with whomever said you have to wear heels for this look to work. It just don’t quite work with flats. A narrow or cinched waist also helps too.

That elizabeth and james blazer has been on my radar for a while—love it! and the miu miu pants are so spot on.
but I’ve found that ever since I started wearing more dresses a few years ago, pants rub and chafe in a way that I never noticed before…dresses are just so COMFY!

The E&J blazer looks pretty nice. Whoever would pay 500 dollars for the Miu pants is a total moron.
These ladies make it look so easy and effortless. I always find that unless the suit is very tailored I look like a little girl dressing up in her father’s suits

I love how you always seem to incorporate bargain pieces with the designer ones. It’s wonderful to splurge some times, but not everything in a girl’s closet can be designer… Although I wish it were true.
i have been crossing my fingers that i’ll find a good shrunken navy blazer at goodwill in the boys section. so far, no avail. ugh.

Just scooped up a Tory Burch White Blazer for $40 so I’m pretty excited about that. I have a huge slew of other blazers too, from vintage to F21 that I love pairing with practically anything.
My main problem? Not enough pants. I need more pants, badly. But thanks to my impending weight loss (fingers crossed) and no-shopping ban till April or May (GASP) that will have to wait.

I don’t know if it’s the Katherine Hepburn influence or what, but I’ve always been a huge fan of menswear on women. I’d love a light-colored neutral suit for the spring that I could wear to work with a lavender blouse – kind of YSL inspired.

Sounds good to me, but I would prefer to wear a blazer with a maxi dress, and those pants with a feminine camisole.
The blazers are my favorite. It’s amazing how a tailored blazer can pull any outfit together.

I think that the pants from Anthropologie look amazing, the Miu Miu pants, not so much. Shaped like that, they wouldn’t look good on most women.
Out of the three people at the top, I think Evangeline Lilly wears the look the best. It looks amazing and not at all too masculine.

I definitley do like to wear a blazer now and again but I think that is as masculine as I can go! But I do love that TB belt.

Love this look. Banana Republic actually has the perfect blazer that you can roll up the sleeves and make casual or dressy. It’s $ 150 but worth every penny I already wore it to a fashion event this week.
