3.1 Phillip Lim Dress (seen here), Zara Top, Miu Miu Heels, Vintage Clutch, J.Crew Bracelet, Revlon Orange Flip Lipstick
This morning I’m heading out to New York for BHLDN’s summer soiree to preview their upcoming collection (you can see the photos from when I saw their first collection here). I’m staying until Friday, so it will be a whirlwind trip filled with lots of meetings, some quality time with friends, a few good meals, and hopefully a bit of shopping.

Handmade Tulle Headband, Maybelline Coral Crush Lipstick, Essie Lovie Dovie Nail Polish, Vintage Leopard Blazer, Express Blouse, Phillip Lim Shorts, Zara Clutch, Steve Madden Booties
I bought this mango-colored tulle (among other sherbet shades) a while ago and have been playing around with different projects ever since. One of my failed attempts at a necklace has since turned into a headband, which I complemented (though unintentionally) with cotton candy nails, coral lips and a bright orange bag. I love how the base of this outfit felt professional and the little details (like leopard, tulle and neon) made it playful and perfect for spring.

{Brightly colored (and glittery!) macarons in a vintage tray}
This week has been a tough one. Amongst other things, a bad cold left me housebound for the past four days and I’m so relieved to finally be feeling better. The weather this weekend is supposed to be gorgeous and I plan on spending the duration of it outdoors (namely at the Rose Bowl flea market). The time change on Sunday just further proves how close we are to summer and I can’t wait to take advantage of the light-filled evenings. In the meantime though, here are five things currently making me happy.

{Thick ribbed sweaters for spring – these are both from H&M}

{Festive earrings from Forever 21}

{Sherbet-colored tulle for inspiration and future projects}

{A little swan pouch (also from Forever 21) that holds my lip glosses}

For the first time in 27 years, I won’t be going home for Christmas. Instead, my family is coming to L.A. where my fiancé and I will be hosting everybody at our new place. Initially I was reluctant about the idea; nervous that things wouldn’t be quite as special. To my surprise, I’ve really enjoyed getting everything ready and I love that we’re starting our own traditions. I wanted the table to feel festive, whimsical and rustic and went with white, gold and black. With just a few unique touches (like sparkly tulle layered over burlap and black feathers tucked inside the napkins), it has the comfort of home, but with our own twist.
