{Tartan mugs that are perfect for apple cider/hot chocolate/eggnog}
I can’t believe that tomorrow is already December. It seems like certain times of the year go by faster than others (whereas January and February sometimes feel like they’re moving backward), but I’m embracing the upcoming holiday season with open arms. It will be busy – with plenty of traveling and projects – but I’m excited about some of the plans I’ve already made – like a midweek trip to Disneyland during Christmastime, going to watch The Nutcracker, and Rachel’s annual gingerbread house party. I’m a firm believer that the more time you set aside for the little things, the more you’ll enjoy the best parts of each season. Have a great weekend.

As I approach thirty, I’ve started to pay attention to those little things I took for granted for years (fast metabolism! no need to wash my face before bed!) – namely my skincare regimen. While I’ve made some big adjustments over the years, like no tanning and always making sure to wear spf, it’s my day-to-day routine that needed some honing. For this week’s Estée Lauder post, I share my daily steps for getting my skin to look and feel its best, and I’d also love to hear if you have any skincare tips or tricks by which you swear!

Given how much I enjoy my fair share of girly details – in the form of sequins, high heels, ruffles, and lace – sometimes I’m surprised by just how good I feel when dressed in slightly more androgynous outfits. Of course the idea is not to look like I just emerged from my husband’s closet, so I like to balance it all with messy waves, a purple smoky eye, an art deco-inspired bracelet, with a touch of leopard, naturally.
