{Gifted Chanel nail polishes that also serve as art}
Tomorrow marks the start of my favorite month of the year. In order to celebrate (and finally take an evening off), we’re planning on watching a scary movie (recommendations are welcome!), ordering take-out, turning out the lights, and finishing the remaining bites of this. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and in the meantime, here are five things currently making me happy.

{Seasonal decorating – a miniature pumpkin carved into a vase}

{I’m having a gold + sparkly jewel moment}

{Food truck favorite – cheesy tots }

{New obsession – Reed Krakoff’s Boxer bag}
P.S. To kick off the rainy season in style, we’re giving away a classic Burberry trenchcoat over at Beso! Enter to win here.

Vintage Scarf, Topshop Blouse (seen here), Gifted MIH Jeans, Zara Bag, Jeffrey Campbell Platforms, J.Crew Bracelet
I tried on about six outfits before I settled on this one. There’s nothing particularly special about it (besides the fact that I finally found the ideal high-waisted trouser jean), but it proves that sometimes simple is best. When nothing else in my closet is appealing, my go-to look includes bright colors, a smidge of eyeliner, and a classic bag.

Have you ever disliked a certain food or dish before you’ve ever tried it? That was how I felt about bread pudding. Though I pretty much live for carbs (and bread certainly tops that list) and I love a good pudding, the idea of combining the two just didn’t sound appealing. That all changed the moment I heard about pumpkin bread pudding. Since it’s a little too early in the season for me to be whipping up pumpkin pies, this sounded like the perfect compromise. It made our place smell heavenly, took minutes to whip up, and the warm, spicy flavors made for an ideal counterpart to our brunch menu (and then later as dessert that night).

Vince Leather Jacket, J.Crew Sweater + Trousers, Gifted Juicy Couture Clutch, Prada Heels
One of my favorite things about dressing for fall is the variety of textures (wool, cashmere, suede, and leather) and patterns you can cram into one outfit without looking too ridiculous. These shoes encapsulate that exact motto, with black suede and leopard detailing, and I’m ecstatic that I was able to track down a pair in my size.
