{Adding a vintage rosette bib to a summer sweater}
Short weeks are always appreciated, and this one was particularly nice. We had friends over for dinner almost every night and kept things casual by eating take-out in the backyard. Since little Rocco wakes up very early these days, I’m looking forward to a weekend filled with productive mornings, afternoon naps and one quick excursion out of town. In the meantime, here are five things currently making me happy.

{Current hairstyle – one small, subtle braid underneath my hair}

{Trying on a lucite Chanel bracelet at What Goes Around Comes Around}

{I love the idea of using my vintage ladder for blanket storage}

{Makeshift dinner: guacamole, chips, cheese and crackers. Perfection.}

Zara Blouse, Vintage Blazer, Marc Jacobs Bag, Michael Kors Watch, Dannijo Bracelet, H&M Shorts, L.A.M.B. Heels
It’s hard to find shorts that encompass all of the things I look for – an appropriate length, comfortable, and dressy enough to go from day to night. I picked up this rust-colored pair from H&M last week and love how they’re simultaneously swingy but structured with the little details that I go for (pockets and pleats).

I was so excited when Glamour asked me to style and model a denim look for their August issue, alongside some of my favorite blogs. Here’s a peek at the outfit I put together (with a Zara striped top and high-waisted True Religion jeans).

I slipped out to the farmers’ market on Sunday like I always do, but made sure to be in my car by 9am to avoid the oppressive heat that’s suddenly descended upon L.A. As I quickly made my way around the booths, I stocked up on yellow nectarines and plump blackberries, unsure of what I would make with them. After a bit of research, I decided to put them into a rustic tart, one that felt homemade and unfussy. For those that are too intimidated to attempt an entire pie, this recipe will yield perfectly imperfect results; exactly how a summer dessert should be.
