I have a major weakness for burgers and have to refrain from ordering them pretty much every time I go out to eat. With my parents in town this past weekend though, I figured it would be a great opportunity to share one of our favorite spots: Umami Burger. Everything on the menu is carefully crafted to include just enough classics, but in new ways that are unconventionally delicious. Apparently they also have fabulous desserts (like ice cream sandwiches and root beer floats), but I’ve always been far too stuffed to ever give them a try.

The Manly Burger
{beer-cheddar cheese, smoked-salt onion strings, bacon lardons}

Sweet Potato Fries
{with Umami Ketchup}

Ahi Tuna Burger
{ahi patty, sprouts, pickled carrots, avocado and wasabi powder}

Cheesy Tator Tots
{like hash browns, but with melted cheese inside. pure amazingness}

I’m honored to be a part of Bulgari’s Save the Children campaign, along with 31 other bloggers (here). Since 2009, Bulgari has raised over $9 million in support of better education for children and by purchasing this ring, $75 will go directly towards the charity.

This weekend was spent almost entirely outdoors and couldn’t have been more fun. My parents surprised me for my birthday (by crashing our Cinco de Mayo party) and were instrumental in helping us polish off leftover enchiladas and margaritas. My mom and I also managed to squeeze in a quick shopping trip, which resulted in finding my new favorite casual pants (that I found in the men’s section at Gap). They’re supremely soft, just relaxed enough and the neutral grayish-khaki ensures that they’ll be an official spring staple.
