Wren Romper, Express Belt, Linea Pelle Bag, Gap Jacket, Zara Platforms

The sweet ladies over at Wren sent over this romper several months back (as well as this skirt, necklace and these tops) and I’m so glad I brought it with me.  It has such great weight to it, which is perfect since yesterday was yet another frigid day in New York.  After attending the Jill Stuart show in the morning at the New York Public Library (lots of messy hair, smoky cat-eye make-up and safari ensembles), I spent the rest of the afternoon with Melisa, (of The Lil Bee and Feather Report) in a giggly bellini buzz.

New York Minute

February 15th, 2010

My weekend in New York was spent running to and from parties, meeting other bloggers, indulging in a few too many slices of pizza and shopping for an entire afternoon in Soho.  I can’t wait to see what the next few days have in store, but in the meantime, here’s a peek at how I spent my Sunday.

My boyfriend and I spent Valentine’s Day apart, but I made sure he had some love (in the form of chocolate) to last him the weekend.

Pink hearts adorned the sidewalks in Soho (thanks to Judy for lending her beautiful boots for the picture).

I threw on some festive red tights to break up an all-black ensemble.

I nearly got tackled for snapping this shot inside Topshop, but I just loved the cheery display.

And lastly, a burger and fries (from here) for dinner.

Packing List: Fashion Week

{Rough outfit sketches}

Tomorrow morning I’m heading out to New York to attend Fashion Week and I can’t wait to arrive.  Even though the temperatures this weekend in L.A. are supposed to be close to 80°, I’m ready to brave the cold with open arms.  It goes without saying that I have about 12 pairs of tights, bulky jackets, scarves and gloves packed as well, but I figured I’d offer you a glimpse at the fashionable items that I’m bringing along.

H&M Top, Chloe Sevingny for Opening Ceremony Pants, Anthropologie Necklace, Linea Pelle Bag, Cynthia Vincent Wedges, Forever 21 Ring, Vintage Bracelet

Despite my excitement for the Barneys warehouse sale last week (here), I left the convention center empty handed.  Seriously, without a thing.  I even stalked a girl for a solid 20 minutes who held in her arms what might have been the perfect dress.  The moment she decided against it, I slipped the sparkly green number over my head and twirled around in victorious circles.  It was only until I got to the checkout that I was informed that my little Lanvin number was $1,995 (down from $6,500).  In order to alleviate some of my disappointment, I headed to Opening Ceremony where I found these Chloe Sevigny pleated trousers in my size and on sale for a fabulous price.
