I love the process of checking into a hotel. After I took a long bath and ordered some soup, I slipped into a fresh robe and watched Coyote Ugly, something my boyfriend would never sit through on a normal night. The city’s alive with sparkling lights and I can’t wait to go for a long walk tomorrow morning.

Topshop Blazer, H&M Dress and Tights, Cynthia Vincent Wedges, Coach Bag
There’s rarely a time in California when you need more than a blazer and some thick tights to stay warm. Tomorrow morning I’m flying out to New York and can expect highs of 32°, which I’m definitely not used to. Thankfully, I picked up a jacket that could easily be mistaken for a sleeping bag, so at least when I’m waddling down the street I’ll remain nice and toasty.

I somehow manage to incorporate peppermint into nearly every dessert I make during the holidays (evidenced here). The red and white colors are so festive and when paired with white chocolate, it’s such an indulgent combination. Last night, after a particularly trying day, I needed my entire apartment to smell of various chocolates and this recipe did the trick.

This season, I fell in love with all of the bags at Coach, thanks to their excellent construction, versatility and adorable detailing. Here are some of my favorites.
The Kristin Zip Top Tote is perfect for my hectic schedule, since it can accommodate all of the things I lug around with me on a daily basis.
Sequins are a great way to dress up an outfit and the size of the Brooke Sequin Clutch is ideal for going out at night.
I love the texture of the Crackled Metallic Brooke and the gray color is unexpectedly fun.
