As the second installment of my three-part series, I chose detail-oriented pieces that add a dose of glamor to any outfit. With feathered accessories and intricate shoes, they’re all special enough to make an impact in a subtle way.
Bubble Skirts
Bubble Bow Skirt, $305
Belted Knee Length Knit Skirt, $17.80
This is my favorite look of the season, but it’s turned out to be harder than I thought to find the right proportions in the length and volume of the skirt.
Metallics
Metallic-foil Skinny Belt, $38
Metallic Brocade Dress, $310
I always feel more dressed up when I throw on a metallic piece. The colors illuminate light in such a flattering way.
Lace
Lace Ruffle Top, $19.99
Lace Print Short Sleeve Jacket, £20
This delicate fabric is the ultimate celebration of femininity. I love the challenge of toughening it up with menswear-inspired pieces and edgy footwear.
Strappy Shoes
Pawelk, $110
Lexxa Pump, $168.95
With neutral-colored tights, these strappy pumps quickly become a captivating focal point.
Feathered Headbands
Extra Wide Feather Headband, $85
Feather Satin Headband, $4.80
I adore the natural feeling of having feathers in my hair. They’re light, colorful and add a quirky touch to a plain hairstyle.

Vintage lace dress and slip, H&M scarf, Anthropologie cuff, Vintage belt, Seychelles Boots
In order to satiate my desire to wear a scarf and boots, I had to put on something lacy to accommodate the unseasonably high temperatures we’re experiencing in L.A. Though it’s hard to tell in these photos, my boots are nearly 4 inches in height and thanks to a thick platform in front, they’re unbelievably comfortable. I’m not used to having a scarf of this length so I’m still experimenting with the best ways to wear it so that it doesn’t end up resembling an afghan.

I’ve been a devoted fan of J.Crew ever since I discovered their tissue-thin cashmere and flawlessly cut summer dresses almost a decade ago. While those two constants remain the same, I’ve recently developed a major crush on their entire jewelry line. Made up of glittery golds and long, romantic necklaces, my wish list continues to grow on a daily basis. Though I might as well have just posted a link to the whole page, I figured I’d showcase just a few of my shining favorites.
1. Overlap-stripe bangle, $78
2. Triple-strand treasure necklace, $130
3. Giant starburst ring, $68
4. Skinny oval-link chain necklace, $50
5. Crystal flower earrings, $65
6. Jenna bracelet, $75
7. Wide crystal garden bracelet, $95

Fashion is always changing, but one thing that remains constant is the need for new trends. I don’t buy into all of the fads that emerge, but I do like to keep my look current and thus, am always trying to find that perfect balance. Based on several requests from my lovely readers, I’ve put together a three-part series of some of the trends that are winners in my book.
1. Dark Nails
(OPI “We’ll Always Have Paris,” “Parlez-Vous OPI,” and “You Don’t Know Jacques!“)
Painting my nails in deep purples and grays is such a glamorous way to add a bit of edge to my everyday look.
2. Gold Jewels
Michael by Michael Kors Gold Round Sport Watch, $195
Dimpled Chain Bracelet, $6.80
This season, I’m all about stacking pieces of gold jewelry. The more textures and shapes, the better!
3. Lace-up Boots
We Who See Leather Lace-Up Boot, $128
Vibra Boot, $168
Worn with girly pieces, these add just the right amount of street edge to an outfit.
4. Bright Tights
Red Tartan Tights, £7.50
Jumbled Crochet Tights, $18
I’ve just recently started experimenting with tights in different colors. They’re such a great way to make your legs a focal point, even when the temperatures start to dip.
5. Fringe
Dip-dye Fringe Scarf, $16.99
Metallic Square Scarf, $14.99
I love how this flapper-inspired look is making a comeback and when worn around the neck, it adds just the right amount of flair.
